Dick Tracy!!! 10/14/2010

Just a little sketch I did last night of everyone's favorite crime comic/cartoon/movie detective. Not much too it, but apparently, he's angry.

I fell a little behind on the updating, but the sketch group is still going on every Sunday, noon to 6pm at Borders in Arlington! Still having a blast, and getting good practice in on mobile/unaware life models.

Third sketch group meeting this past Sunday. Looking like we'll be getting more frequent attendees, and I'm definitely enjoying myself. Sketching, sitting back with a white mocha, conversing with good friends and meeting new people - sounds like an enjoyable Sunday to me.

Second sketch group meeting this past Sunday. Went pretty well. Had a better turn out, this week, and it should be even larger this coming Sunday. If you're reading this, come join us! Anyway, here's what I threw together.

So, I started a little weekly sketch group, and we (the TWO of us...it's very little now...hopefully it'll grow by the week) sat inside the cafe at Borders Books, just doing random life drawings. So here are my personal results from that. It was interesting.

Third piece of the set. Yay for Jackie O', fashion diva/sketch artist!

Older works, so I figured I'd finally post them. Pez dispenser and Potato Head. My mother and brother, respectively.

Some digital work I'm doing for a school project. Many hours put into it, and there's really no deeper meaning. It is what it is. Disturbing.

STILL LIFE? NOT QUITE...
Second time drawing Evelyn, though she was moving quite a bit during the whole session. There would be still moments, but they were few and far between. However, she stuck around for a while, which I really appreciate.

Picture turned out alright. Maybe a tad elongated horizontally, and the eye may be a bit over-sized, but ah well. Still having a lot of fun with the models, and I hope we keep up the pace.
